All of us participate with expectation and the will to finish Lakes ‘n’ Knödel, but one thing is bigger than all that: HEALTH.
Watch out for another and in case somebody needs help, don’t hesitate and assist.

Ultra cycling lives by its values. Fairness is the basement of its values. Enjoy your adventure and be fair to yourself and other participants.
Drafting is permitted to make it a joyful adventure.
If you are leaving the track, return on the exact same point.

During your ride you will (possibly) enter unknown territory. Respect nature, animals, local laws, signs, vehicles and especially people.
Please respect the prohibition of night travel in the Karwendel area. Details for the section will be handed to the participants.

Local traffic laws apply at all times. Prevent from non legal actions.
Mandatory for Lakes ‘n’ Knödel are front and back lights, a spare set of lights, and a helmet.
For riding during the night, a reflective vest is obligatory.
The night travel prohibition is not just for nature’s safety, but also for yours, as some animals are active during the night and could cause an accident.

Lakes ‘n’ Knödel is taking place on a set route with Checkpoints. You need to follow the given track. In case of blocked roads, due to roadblocks, landslides etc., you are allowed to leave the track and return on the shortest possible way.

You will receive a tracker before the race. It may be necessary to be recharged during the race. In case of a technical failure or lack of battery, the organizer can acknowledge “you being a finisher” with another proof. Each participant needs to pay a deposit for every tracker in advance of the race, which will be returned in exchange for the tracker. The organizer will return the deposit within the week after the race.

The organiser won’t provide any insurance for the event and can not be held accountable or liable for any damage. Anything that may happen directly and/or indirectly to you or other units must be covered by your insurance.
You, as a participant, must have liability, death, accident, and health insurance valid during the event that covers emergency extraction and repatriation insurance.
